Throwing Stones

I love looking at glass sculpture. I am truly amazed at the process that glass artists use to create beautiful pieces of art with fire and torches. Bob Crooks is one of Britain's most highly recognized leading glassmakers. Each of his pieces are designed, handmade and finished by him without the use of any molds to create the forms or surfaces. Therefore, all of his pieces are one of a kind works of art. I particularily love his use of color, whether transparent or opaque, and the beautiful organic fluid shapes. Many of his pieces are very large which create wonderful dramatic statements! Way out of my price range, but oh so beautiful to look at. Available at Flow, a gallery situated in the heart of Notting Hill, that was established to showcase the best of British contemporary applied arts.
