Gothic Glam

Posted by Picasa
A native New Zealander, Elisabeth Findlay is the name behind the Zambesi clothing line. Using vintage cuts and fabrics, in silk, satin, velvet and textured wools, her designs are edgy, slightly punky, and totally sophisticated. Her Winter 2006 collection features really wearable dresses and separates in mostly black and charcoal. Really cool, super sexy. But it is her use of vibrant colors, intense pink, salmon, and orange, that really jump out at me. The contrast against the otherwise neutral color palette is astonishing. These 6 looks are some of my favorites because of their wearability. They could be day or night appropriate simply by the choice of accessories (strappy sandals or knee high boots, chandalier earrings or classic pearls, neutral makeup or smoky eye). The long wrap dress in blush satin is the only piece that I picked that is not everyday but how amazing for an evening out!

Hi,
Thank you for your comment ;-) The Strawberry-Rhubarb pie is delicious but maybe not so nice for the weight :-)
I love your blog! I find it so relaxing to allow myself to me a bit material & just adore all the beautiful things there are out there :-)
By the way, even though it may seems so - my blog isn`t a food blog ;-) It`s just that when I moved it, I wanted to bring my favourite recipes from my old blog...
Take care,
Elisabeth
