I first heard of James Coviello in 2003, when he designed an exclusive clothing collection for Spiegel. I liked the collection but my catalog subscription lapsed and I didn't hear anything else about him. I recently came upon his beautifully designed website and fell in love with his Fall 2006 ready-to-wear collection. I am crushed that it has taken me three years to rediscover him! I am loving every, yes every, piece in this collection. Choosing my favorites was a challenge, but I managed to limit it to 6! His looks are clearly vintage inspired but yet manage to look totally contemporary and feminine. And, I love the layering aspect of the looks. I could, and would, wear these looks anywhere and everywhere. Unfortunately, he does not have an on-line boutique yet, but some of the collection can be found at boutiques around the country and at Saks Fifth Avenue.
